Official Statement

The Electoral Commission, in its meeting this afternoon, adopted the following resolutions:

1. Following the presentation of a single candidacy for the presidency of the La Liga Nacional de Futbol Profesional, and this being valid, Javier Tebas is definitively named president of LaLiga for a period of four years, without the need to hold an Extraordinary General Assembly.

2. The general secretary of the Electoral Commission must notify Javier Tebas and the member clubs of LaLiga of the resolution adopted.

3. In accordance with the provisions of LaLiga's Articles of Association, once the election of the president is complete the Electoral Commission ceases to function.
