Official Statement

We hereby announce, in accordance with the procedure established in Section 5 of the "Terms for the invitation to bid on the commercialisation of free-to-air and on-demand audiovisual content exploitation rights for the Primera Division and Segunda Division of the National League Championship and for the Copa del Rey for the 2016/2017 to 2018/2019 seasons" (The Terms):     

1. Lot 1 has automatically been awarded today, 20 June 2016, to MEDIAPRODUCCION S.L.U., after its bid exceeded the Individual Reserve Price, reaching a total of €13,800,000.       
2. Lot 3 has automatically been awarded today, 20 June 2016, to MEDIAPRODUCCION S.L.U., after its bid exceeded the Individual Reserve Price, reaching a total of €27,000,000.       
3. Lot 4 has automatically been awarded today, 20 June 2016, to MEDIAPRODUCCION S.L.U., after its bid exceeded the Individual Reserve Price, reaching a total of €15,000,000.        

Nevertheless, Lots 2 and 5 have not been awarded, given that none of the offers received from the Candidates reached the respective Individual Reserve Prices. As a result, the LaLiga Control Body for the administration of audiovisual rights has decided to proceed in accordance with epigraph 4.3 of the Terms, and as a result, invite a new round of offers.      

In this regard, and in accordance with the Terms, we invite the Candidates to present new offers for the aforementioned Lots 2 and 5, requiring that, for this purpose, they present a sealed envelope containing their new Financial Offer at the CSD headquarters, duly identified as "OFFER FROM [OPERATOR] – LOT [NUMBER]" and marked for the attention of the President of the CSD. The deadline for presenting new offers is 13:00 pm CET on 28 June 2016.  

For the awarding of Lots 2 and 5, the procedure stipulated in the Terms shall be applied and, specifically, only Candidates whose best offer reaches the Individual Reserve Price may end up as Contract Recipients.
