Neymar hits four goals in the rout against Rayo Vallecano

Rayo Vallecano took the lead

Paco Jemez´s team went into to the field with clear ideas. With Javi Guerra at its best, Rayo opened the scoring at the Camp Nou after 14 minutes. A good cross from the left of Bebé was taken by Guerra to put the 0-1.

FC Barcelona´s reaction

The chances kept coming for both teams, but Barcelona took a step forward to turn the 0-1 against. After several good chances to draw the game, Neymar was in charge to score, twice, to overcome the result.

Neymar

The Brazilian was the key man for Barcelona in the first half. After 20 minutes, Neymar equalized the match from the penalty spot. Only eleven minutes later, the "Azulgrana" player scored again from penalty and signed a double. In the second half, he proved once again that he was the one who was ruling the roost. The Brazilian added two goals after the break and also gave an assist for the fifth goal to Luis Suarez.

Claudio Bravo

Barca´s goalkeeper played a major role in the match. In the opening minutes of the second half he avoided that Rayo, on three different chances, could drew the game. He also managed to save a one on one against Javi Guerra in third minute and another on Ebert a minute later.

Exciting final minutes

Rayo Vallecano insisted in the attack on Bravo´s area, but accuracy was not with them in the second half. Unlike Barcelona, which scored two goals in just a minute. Neymar scored those two goals adding four in his personal tally. Seven minutes later, Luis Suarez scored the fifth goal with the assist of Neymar. But the 5-1 won’t be the final result, because in the final minutes Jozabad could beat Bravo to put the final 5-2.
