Gimnastic and R. Oviedo share a common dream. Both teams were promoted to the Liga Adelante this season and, on the back of all their hard work, sacrifice and enthusiasm, are now in the chase for promotion to the Liga BBVA.
Nastic and Oviedo go head to head this Sunday at the Nou Estadi intent on keeping alive their dream of sealing back-to-back promotions and returning to the best league competition in the world. A feat only achieved by seven teams since Second Division B was founded back in 1977.
The two teams are level pegging going into the game. They both have 52 points and are in the play-off places, Oviedo 3rd and Nastic 4th. The Asturians last played top-flight football in the 2000/01 season, whilst the Catalans last did so in the 2006/07 campaign. Coincidentally, Oviedo boss, David Generelo, played for Nastic that season.
