Early Munir strike
FC Barcelona took an early lead when Leo Messi played Luis Suarez down to the bye-line. The Uruguayan squared across the goal and Munir El Haddadi tapped in from close range for his second Liga BBVA goal this season. The 20-year-old was in the side for the suspended Neymar.
Eibar brave
Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side continued to press high up the pitch and Barcelona responded with a series of long passes over the defence looking for the runs of Suarez and Munir. The Basques worked hard but finished the half having seen only 27% of the ball, and they were trailing by two by then.
Messi doubles lead
Just before the break, Messi intercepted a pass, burst down the middle of the pitch, dribbled past two defenders, and fired low into the corner for his 20th Liga BBVA goal this season. It was the eighth season in a row he had reached the 20-goal mark in the league.
Messi Penalty
A handball in the area from Eibar defender Ivan Ramis, as he slid in to try and block Messi’s progress, earned the visitors a penalty. Luis Suarez missed one during the week, but the Argentine took responsibility instead and fired past Asier Riesgo for his second of the game.

Suarez stunner
The goal of the afternoon came nine minutes from time, when Luis Suarez scored a great individual effort. Receiving the ball on the edge of the area, he nutmegged one defender, held off another, and with a third closing in fired past Riesgo to seal the victory.
36 unbeaten and counting
Barça moved on to 36 games unbeaten and with 10 matches left to play in the Liga BBVA, and have an 11-point lead over second-placed Atletico Madrid, who were playing at Valencia in Sunday's late game. Eibar have now suffered four defeats in a row, and have failed to score in their last three.
