Manuel Pellegrini named as Real Betis manager for 2020-21

Manuel Pellegrini is set for a return to LaLiga Santander with Real Betis. The 66 year-old was named the club's new coach today, and will take over upon the conclusion of the current season from caretaker manager Alexis Trujillo.

"Pellegrini is a great manager and a natural born winner. He's a great leader in the dressing room and has achieved at every club he's been at. He was our first option." said Trujillo upon the appointment of his successor.

Real Betis will be Pellegrini's fourth club in LaLiga Santander, after spells with Villarreal CF, Real Madrid, Málaga CF. He was most recently in charge of West Ham United in England, departing at the end of 2019.
