Malaga CF are already revving up their engines ahead of the 2016/17 season. One of the big events for the team managed by Juande Ramos before the coming campaign gets underway will be the Aachen Cup, which forms part of the LaLiga World project. The friendlytournament will be played in the German city of Aachen on 24 July, with the Andalusian side set to take on the host team Alemannia Aachen, FC Cologne and Olympique de Marseille.
The competition will be played at the Tivoli stadium and will kick off with the two semi-finals on 24 July at 14:00 CET. The decider for third and fourth place will be played next, and the final will take place on the same day at 17:00 CET. Tickets for the tournament will cost between €10 and €25 and can be purchased via the websites of the clubs involved.
This will be the second time that Malaga CF have headed to Germany as part of LaLiga World, following their trip to the city of Gelsenkirchen in 2014, where they gave an excellent account of Spanish football. Other clubs such as Valencia CF have also travelled to Germany as part of LaLiga World, an initiative which seeks to boost the international renown of Spanish clubs as part of the global expansion strategy undertaken by LaLiga.
