Lugo get the win in the dying minutes

CD Lugo won 3-2 against Barcelona B in a game corresponding to matchday 28 of the Liga Adelante. The result leaves Jordi Vinyal’s men close to the relegation spots, Quique Setién’s men go up to 10th in the table.

The Galician side went out aiming to dominate from the outset. After a few warnings, Quique Setién’s men opened the scoring in the 19’ minute, following a good move down the right wing by Iriome González, Israel Puerto scored with pleasure following his team mate’s decisive pass. Following the goal, the visitors began to fight back against the opponent’s dominance and began to attack the Lugo goal. These attempts brought their first reward just before the break when Sandro Ramírez drew level following a foul by Dani Mallo. 

In the second half, Barcelona continued to display the good form they had shown before the break. Adama was one of the outstanding performers at the start of the second hald, however it was Juan del Carmen Cámara who took the score to 1-2 with a great shot from the edge of the area which sneaked in at the left side of Dani Mallo’s goal. Barcelona could have extended the lead but it was the home side who turned the game around in the dying minutes. Firstly, following another great cross from Iriome that has headed in by Pablo Caballero inside the area. Then, two minutes for the end Luis Fernández scored from a corner to leave the score at 3-2.
