November in the Liga Adelante saw two leaders emerge in the division: Girona FC and UD Las Palmas. R. Sporting also remain undefeated. And let's not forget CD Mirandés who, after losing their first encounter of the month, have claimed points in all their fixtures, including a draw against the league leaders, Las Palmas. This is the dream team selected by the LFP.es editors.
Iván Cuéllar, the Sporting keeper, plays in goal. The player from Extremadura has conceded just 9 goals in 15 games played and in November just 1 goal was scored against him. Cuéllar’s stats explain the good run that the Rojiblancos are having.
After an inconsistent start to the championship, Carlos Terrazas's Mirandés managed to pull off an excellent month in November and this success was partly down to César Caneda. The veteran has scored three goals, one of them that earned his team victory in the dying moments against CD Leganés. Ángel López comes in at left back, with the former Spain international enjoying a second lease of life in the team where he started out as a footballer.
Aythami Artiles and Bernardo Espinosa will form the core of the defence. The centre back from the Canary Islands is the best insurance policy for the championship leaders and he has also helped Paco Herrera's men build from the back. Alongside the pio-pio player, the Columbian player Bernardo arrived at Gijón three years ago and is a permanent fixture in Abelardo Fernández's side. His goal against RCD Mallorca earned his side three points.
The midfield is made up of Pedro Sánchez, Àlex Granell and Julio Álvarez. The R. Zaragoza player has played seven games this season and has found the net on three occasions, in addition to delighting La Romareda with his technique and speed.
In his first year in the Liga Adelante, the Girona player, Granell, has emerged as a skilful and creative footballer with an exceptional left boot. Julio Álvarez is the final midfielder. He was named best player in the competition last season and he has not slowed his pace in this campaign, and thanks to his best weapon, the set piece, he has scored two goals in CD Numancia's victories.
Rubén Castro, David Rodríguez and Sergi Enrich would be any manager's dream attack. R. Betis’s forward from the Canary Islands has made history with his goals: against UE Llagostera he equalled Manuel Domínguez as his club’s all-time top scorer with 94.
Castro is joined by AD Alcorcón's David Rodríguez. The Toledo man has scored seven goals this season, three of them in November, a month which he was excellent for his team, scoring in every game he played in. The forward line is completed by the CD Numancia player Sergi Enrich: at 24 years of age he is the youngest striker, but his seven goals have helped his club climb the table and made him the fifth highest goal scorer in the division alongside David Rodríguez.
