The innovative, state-of-the-art Liga de Fútbol Profesional website (www.lfp.es), was chosen as the Best Sports Website at 'Dominios.es', an award presented by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
The events room at the National Library of Spain in Madrid provided the stage for the official LFP website to receive the accolade for having the best site in the sector, beating the following pages to the prize: Real Federación Española de Futbol (www.rfef.es), Ciclismo a fondo (www.ciclismoafondo.es), Diario Sport (www.sport.es), Sportyou (www.sportyou.es), Revista de Padel Online Profesional (www.padelstar.es).
The award comes in recognition of the LFP's official site, which continues to grow, day by day. Compared to the 2013/14 season, the site's cumulative growth has increased by 105%, and it grew 126% last month. In addition, on all of its digital platforms, it has almost 10,000,000 active followers per month.
The Liga de Fútbol Profesional website also generates significant global interest, with the US, Mexican and Colombian markets as the main conduits for taking news on Spanish football around the world.
On the LFP website, all lovers of Spanish football can find the latest news on all 42 Liga BBVA and Adelante clubs, in real time. There is also a plethora of information on schedules for La Liga and other competitions, stats on teams and favourite players and other institutional information from La Liga and the Fundación de Fútbol Profesional.
Another of the services offered by www.lfp.es is the official La Liga TV channel, where football fans can watch the most passionate Liga Adelante matches every week, regardless of their geographic location and completely free of charge.
