Las Palmas secured an important win in the first round of games in 2015 after downing Barcelona B 0-2 in Saturday's final Liga Adelante game. It was the visitor's clinical edge that proved the difference in an even game.
The league leaders went to Catalonia to take on a wounded side that had been beaten 7-0 in the final game before Christmas. There was a slow start to the match, with Sergio Araujo having the best opportunity before Nauzet opened the scoring after 35 minutes. Aside from these two moments there was little action in the first half.
Las Palmas came out fired up for the second half, and tested out Adrián Ortolá on a couple of occasions. There was little the home side's stopper could do when Roque Mesa found the net to seal the win for the Canary Islanders.
