Possession for the yellow team
On a day that Villarreal wore red at the Gran Canaria Stadium, the side from the Canary Island controlled the ball during most of the match although didn’t get to materialize the chances they had.
Good strategy
It was the first match under Quique Setién direction and fans got to see the players well placed in the pitch that had possession of the ball and displayed a serious defence that neutralized Villarreal’s danger.

Danger came in the free kicks
The best chances for Marcelino’s team came from free kicks; the threat from Villarreal was created in corner kicks that didn’t vary the score.
FT in Las Palmas. 0-0 and the Submarine brings 1 point home which is always important. Safe trip back home to all the yellows. #CVFEnglish
