His 163 saves and 39 goals conceded in the entire season for Levante UD have earned Keylor Navas the 'Best Goalkeeper in the 2013-14 Liga BBVA' prize in the 'LFP 2014 Awards Ceremony'.
The Costa Rican, one of the biggest sensations of last season, also led the most saves made ranking, ahead of Esteban (147) and Willy Caballero (134), with only four keepers conceding fewer goals. A real insurance policy between the sticks that helped the Granotas climb to sixth place in the table.
These were sufficient grounds for Keylor Navas to claim the coveted 'Best Goalkeeper in the 2013-14 Liga BBVA' receiving more votes than Thibaut Courtois (former Atlético Madrid keeper) and Willy Caballero (formerly of Málaga CF).
The Costa Rican goalie emerged as a cornerstone of the Granotas last season, and now he delights football fans from between the posts at Real Madrid, who signed him last summer after a great display in the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
