The second half of the Liga Adelante season gets underway, and we see it in by throwing the spotlight on a terrific footballer. La Liga Show Adelante travelled to Soria to talk to one of the most highly-rated players in the division, the Venezuelan Julio Álvarez. This season's outstanding dead-ball specialist gives his thoughts on his take on football, the sport that has had a defining influence on his life, and his commitment to staying at a CD Numancia outfit who appear to have erased the word 'defeat' from their vocabulary.
One team looking to bounce back from defeat on their most recent outing is R. Valladolid CF. After losing to UE Llagostera, los pucelanos are away from home again as they visit the Iberostar, where they take on an RCD Mallorca side out to pick up all three points and close in on the fight for the play-offs. Together with Mallorca men Joan Truyols, Pau Cendrós and Fofo, and the blanquivioletas Álvaro Rubio, Jonathan Pereira and Carlos Peña, we'll preview the Fixture of the Matchday.
It's a matchday that gets the second half of the campaign up and running, and brings us games of huge interest in which everyone is aiming to gain an advantage over their direct rivals. To find out more about the Rest of the Matchday, we'll hear the thoughts of Eusebio Sacristán, Manolo Díaz and Xavi Torres.
In this instalment we'll also make our way to Vitoria, where Alberto López, the coach who led D. Alavés to safety last season, shows us another side to himself in the Coach Test.
