Jose Bordalas named Liga Adelante Manager of the Month for May

Jose Bordalas (Alicante, 1964) has been named the BBVA Liga Adelante Manager of the Month for May, after guiding D. Alaves to promotion to the top flight.

He produced a spectacular run of results in the final month of the competition. Five victories in a row with a total of 10 goals for and just three against propelled Alaves to achieving their long-awaited return to the Liga BBVA. R. Valladolid (2-1), AD Alcorcon (1-0), SD Ponferradina (2-0), Bilbao Athletic (3-2) and CD Numancia (2-0) were the opponents who succumbed to the excellence of the Basque team.

This accolade, which is awarded by BBVA, the competition's main sponsor, and voted for by the LaLiga.es writers, recognises the work of Bordalas at the helm of his team, who will once again revel in the thrill of playing in the best league in the world next season.
