João Pereira and Andrés Guardado injured

Bad news for Valencia CF manager Miroslav Djukić. Wednesday’s match at the Mestalla against UD Almería (1-2) saw injuries to João Pereira and Andrés Guardado, who will be out for two and three weeks respectively.

The Portuguese wide man João Pereira finished the game with a niggle and after being examined by the medical team has been diagnosed with a “muscle strain in his left adductor”. He’ll be out for approximately 15 days.

For his part, Andrés Guardado had to be substituted in the 41st minute for Juan Bernat. The Mexican has also undergone medical tests, which have determined he has a “small fibre tear in his left hamstring”, for which he will need three weeks on the sidelines.
