On the morning of Wednesday, November 4, the Spanish sports newspaper, Diario AS, presented its edition to Mexico at an event organized in Hacienda Los Morales at Mexico City (Mexico). The event was attended by Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, along with other sports personalities such as Vicente Del Bosque, Spanish national team manager, or Alfredo Relaño, Diario AS director. After Chile and Colombia, Mexico becomes the third country with direct presence of Diario AS and Spanish football.
For Javier Tebas, the opening of an edition of AS newspaper in Mexico represents a strategic point for football from LaLiga that in this way can get closer to the Mexican fans: "Spanish football should be very happy. Within LaLiga’s internationalization strategy, get close to the Spanish football fans in every part of the world has become a priority. Wish all the best to AS Mexico and all the fans of LaLiga in the country and in Latin America. We now feel closer", concluded the president of LaLiga.
Those responsible for the Mexican edition of the Spanish newspaper thanked the presence of LaLiga and were pleased to have the support of the Spanish organization in this launch. "We are in an age of modernity. The new route is fully digital. Today, the era in the stage of internet is king. We will try to give the best coverage of Spanish and European football, Real Madrid, Barcelona and other teams. Thank you very much to LaLiga for all the support. You are an important part of this project", said Alejandro Gomez, director of AS Mexico.
With this new partnership, LaLiga strengthens its internationalization strategy also in Latin America. The communication window opened by Diario AS will bring LaLiga more directly to all Mexican fans who follow the Spanish professional football. With this new visibility, LaLiga´s brand will benefit globally, reaching Spanish-speaking territories that will continue to enjoy LaLiga initiatives such as LFP World Challenge or LaLiga Promises.
