Javier Tebas: "LaLiga is the most watched in North America. And that´s key"

LaLiga, BeIN Sports and Mediapro presented a new agreement for LaLiga broadcasts in North America at BeIN Sports facilities in Miami. Javier Tebas, President of LaLiga and Antonio Briceño, General Manager of BeIN Sports, joined in a live program that served as a presentation of the new link with which it takes a further step in the international expansion of the competition.

"At sporting level there is not argument. It is the league with more excitement and the most watched at both television and social networks. It is a job that we must continue because it is difficult to maintain that high level. With the work of the clubs and the players, who are the best in the world, will remain the best league. That the Spanish football is the most watched in North America it is key for me. It shows that the product has been very well treated these three years", Javier Tebas said.

Antonio Briceño noted that for BeIN Sports "LaLiga is the jewel of the crown" and said that it has become the "epicenter" of the network. "We have grown by the hand of LaLiga and we are fastest growing cable channel in North America. Thanks to LaLiga we have reached incredible ratings of audience. We are looking forward to continue with LaLiga for many more years and keep on to be successful", he added.

Former players Fernando Morientes and Patrick Kluivert took part as LaLiga ambassadors in a presentation in which they recalled his experience as players. "As ambassadors we are going to promote LaLiga wherever we go. It does not need any promotion but we have to bring it to different countries", said Morientes in an event attended by numerous representatives of social, economics, and politics of Miami.
