Javi Gracia pens a new Malaga deal

Malaga CF have officially announced that their head coach, Javi Gracia, has signed a new three-year deal with the club. The deal will see the Spaniard remain at La Rosaleda until 30th June 2019. 

By the end of his new contract, Gracia will have spent five seasons at the Andalusian club, where he is a firm fans' favourite. In his first season in charge, the team finished ninth in the table and came close to securing European football, whilst this year, he has so far avoided the relegation zone and kept Malaga mid table.

If there is one thing that has distinguished the coach over the past two years, it is a playing style based on teamwork and passing football. He has also successfully helped academy graduates Samu, Samu Castillejo and Juanpi, amongst others, shine in the first team.
