It was a resounding 2-8 away win for Real Madrid against RC Deportivo de La Coruña, in a game in which the Whites' attack demolished a Galician team that missed the opportunity to claim some points and climb the table on matchday 4 of the Liga BBVA.
Madrid seemed go out onto the field of play aiming to put the game to bed in the first half. And they did so through the firepower that Carlo Ancelotti's men displayed in attack. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring from an Álvaro Arbeloa cross and claimed his first goal at the Riazor Stadium. On seven minute, James Rodríguez scored their second from in front of the box with a great strike that went into the top corner to put the Whites in a commanding position. Another goal from Ronaldo then opened the gap further before the break.
Deportivo tried to respond after half time and made two changes to curb the onslaught from the visitors. Haris Medunjanin pulled one back from the penalty spot, but Madrid responded with the speed and effectiveness of Gareth Bale, who bagged a brace in less than ten minutes. The goals did not end there and the Whites still had time to celebrate the score that gave Cristiano his hat-trick and Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández’s first two goals as a Madrid player. Finally, Toché scored a consolation goal with a good shot that found the net for the Galicians.
