This Thursday January 21 took place the fourth day of the campaign "Futura Afición" (Fans of the future), a schooling and educational project promoted by LaLiga through its Foundation and which has the support of the Higher Sports Council.
This time, "Futura Afición" traveled to Málaga to promote and encourage among more than 150 students of the Colegio Nuestra Señora de la Victoria-Maristas, values such as respect, fair play, tolerance, teamwork and nonviolence in football in any of its manifestations.
Students in grades 5 and 6 of Primary followed various activities and educational workshops during a day that ended with a ceremony presented by journalist Sergio Cortes, and that was attended by Olga de la Fuente, general manager of LaLiga's Foundation, the advisory counselor of Málaga, CF Francisco Martin Aguilar, the Málaga CF players Ignacio Camacho and Carlos Kameni, and former international referee and LaLiga's representative in the Refereeing Committee for Professional Competition, Antonio Jesus Lopez Nieto.
Olga de la Fuente, explained to those present that the purpose of LaLiga is "convey some important values such as respect for the opponent, fair play, solidarity, education and football without verbal, gestural or physical violence" and stressed that the youngest are "the fans of the future".
The advisory counselor of Málaga CF, Francisco Martin Aguilar, spoke on the need "to take action for the future" and stressed the commitment of the Andalusian club to participate in these initiatives: "On behalf of the club I would like to thank for this campaign conducted by LaLiga. What it's doing is very good for the world of football and sport in general. I wish that more things like this could be done".
Considering the expectations of the students, it came the turn of Ignacio Camacho and Carlos Kameni, who stressed the importance of respect and fair play both on and off the field. The midfielder said that "this campaign helps to educate the fans" and highlighted that "competitiveness is good but always with respect."
"There are many values that we can teach to the children. No good if we respect the brother, father or mother and then, away from home, do not respect those who are around us. We seek a better world, "said Kameni to the audience.
In addition, Antonio Jesus Lopez Nieto brought his experience as a former international referee and sent a message of awareness to those present: "I like to thank LaLiga's Foundation because it has allowed me to come on behalf of the referees. Do not want for you what you do not want for the others. Enjoy with your team because football is passion, but you have to drive it in a positive way. "
