Real Madrid will pay homage to Ferenc Puskás, the most celebrated player in Hungarian history. Puskás played for The Whites between 1958 and 1967 and will live eternally in the hearts of the Santiago Bernabéu faithful for his goals.
A ceremony was presided over by Emilio Butragueño, the head of External Relations for Real Madrid, in the Puskás Pancho Sport Pub in Budapest (Hungry). Also in attendance were István Simicskó, the Hungarian minister of sport, János Jakab, head of the Ferenc Puskás Football Academy, and the communications officer for the Ferenc Puskás Football Academy, György Szöllősi.
The homage will include many different events, and things get started on the 24th of October with the Luis de Carlos Forum, which will hold a special edition to discuss Puskas. Then there will be a special exhibition in the Bernabéu Tour with rarities lent by the Ferenc Puskás Academy.
