Much like a fine wine, Aritz Aduriz just seems to get better with age. The 35-year-old Athletic Club forward has just completed a season in which he chalked up 20 goals to record his best ever Liga BBVA campaign.

In what was the most prolific season of his career, a final-day brace against Sevilla FC saw Aduriz claim the crown as the division's top Spanish goalscorer, after beating off competition from Ruben Castro and Borja Baston.
Aduriz hit over a third of the 58 goals scored by the Basques this term, a return which has rightfully earned him a place in the club's history books. The forward's 20-goal haul is the best to have been registered by an Athletic player in 36 years, since Dani found the net 21 times during the 1980-81 campaign. As the league's most clinical Spaniard, Aduriz will now be hoping to build on this season's goalscoring exploits and take his place in the Spain squad at Euro 2016.
