Gary Neville is no longer the Valencia CF coach. The Liga BBVA club released the news in a statement published on its official website, announcing that the decision has been taken to terminate the English coach’s contract.
In the statement, Valencia confirmed that Neville has been relieved of his duties "in search of the best interests of Valencia CF with a view to the end of this season."The club also took the opportunity to thank him for his work and wish him "the best of luck in the future."

He will be replaced by Pako Ayestaran, who will take up the reins of the team from now until the end of this season. Ayestaran previously worked for Valencia as the assistant coach between 2001 and 2004, helping to guide the club to two Liga BBVA titles and a Copa del Rey trophy. He has also worked as an assistant coach at Liverpool FC and as the first-team coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Estudiantes Tecos and Santos Laguna.
