  • The Martinez Valero Stadium is the category’s biggest field of play, thanks to its large dimensions: 108 x 70 meters.
  • It was opened on September 8, 1976 as New Elche Stadium with a match between Elche and the Mexican national team. The game concluded with a 3-3 draw and Finarolli, Roberto Orellana and Gómez Voglino scored the first goals of the "franjiverde" side in its field.
  • The ground hosted three games of the Spain 1982 World Cup: Hungary 10-1 El Salvador, Belgium 1-0 El Salvador and Belgium 1-1 Hungary.
  • In 1988 changed its name and became to its current denomination, Manuel Martinez Valero Stadium, which pays tribute to Elche´s former president.
  • In 2003 was the venue for the Copa del Rey final between RCD Mallorca and RC Recreativo de Huelva, which ended in victory for the "bermellón" side 3-0.
