- It was built in 1924 on a plot of land known as Pago de la Condomina, which is where the stadium takes its name from.
- It has been the home ground for three teams in its history: Real Murcia, Ciudad de Murcia and now UCAM Murcia CF, who have been playing at La Condomina since the 2014/15 season.
- It has played host to five promotion campaigns to LaLiga, with Real Murcia going up in 1944, 1955, 1963, 1980 and 2003.
- It was the scene for a friendly between Ecuador and South Africa in April 2002 in a preparation match ahead of the 2002 World Cup that brought thousands of Ecuadorian supporters residing all over Spain to the city.
- UCAM only lost two out of 21 matches at La Condomina last season. Real Murcia and Merida AD were the only visiting sides that managed to leave with all three points.
