- Alcorcón opened the Santo Domingo Stadium in 1999, with a friendly match against Real Madrid which ended goalless.
- Santo Domingo (also known as San Dominguín) is the patron saint of the city and got there by a group of Christian farmers that, in the Middle Ages, reached the area now known as Alcorcón and developed in Santo Domingo´s meadow. The stadium takes its name in honor of this saint.
- In 2009, and in gratitude for the club successes, the local council approved an extension of its budget to improve the stadium facilities and double the capacity to 5,800 spectators.
- This season has emerged a singular step through which the season ticket holders have etched their names with vinyl in every seat in order to personalize the stands and give some nature to Santo Domingo.
- One of most popular and frequented areas of the stadium is the snack shop that is located at the entrance of the ground. Half time is the time when fans share comments and experiences joining the best bacon, cured ham and sausage sandwiches around Alcorcon.
