FC Barcelona was proclaimed champion of the 20th International Tournament LaLiga Promises after winning Valencia CF in the final (3-4). Javier Tebas, president of Laliga, presented the medals and the runners-up Cup to Valencia CF, while Miguel Cardenal handed the trophy to the captain of FC Barcelona, Xavi Simons, who lifted the Cup with the rest of the team.
Right after the kick off, Cristian Valera, one of the stars of the final, opened the scoring and put Valencia ahead. But FC Barcelona reacted and soon got the equalizer thanks to a goal from Mamadou. In a first half full of goals, Cristian again took the lead for his team. Pau Servat put the 2-2 before the break and left everything to play for.
In a second half with great intensity, Moriba got a brace for the Catalan team, forcing Valencia CF to go for the match. A new goal by Cristian gave hope to his team but they were practically out of time and was FC Barcelona who finally won the 20th International Tournament LaLiga Promises
Semifinal
The road to the final was not easy for either of the two teams. Valencia got the ticket to the semifinals by beating Sevilla FC 1-0 in a fairly even game that ended up with the single goal from Jesus Vazquez. In the second match of the day, FC Barcelona beat Villarreal CF 0-2 thanks to a brace by Moriba.
