SÁB 07.11.2015
Sergi Enrich
The Balearic striker was the most outstanding player of the match with his two goals, the first ones he scores in the Liga BBVA in his professional career. Eibar’s young forward scored in the 16th minute after picking up a loose ball in the box and repeated in the 29th minute, after a good assist by Saul Berjon. His two goals were able to break the initial equality, firstly to score the 1-0 and later on the 2-1.
Insufficient reaction by Getafe
The away team couldn’t show their best version on Ipurua’s pitch, in large part due to Eibar’s good performance. Fran Escriba’s side managed to recover after Enrich’s initial score with a goal by Victor Rodriguez, but their reaction wasn’t good enough and the Basque’s had control throughout most of the match.
Send-off and sentence
In the second half, with his team losing 2-1, Damian Suarez knocked Enrich over in the penalty area. Saul Berjon, took over the responsibility and didn't miss the penalty that put the match on track for the local team with a 3-1 score after 60 minutes.
Escalante was close to number 4
Eibar didn’t lose their lust to score and, if it wasn’t for the crossbar, Jose Luis Mendilibar’s men would have scored the fourth goal. It was Gonzalo Escalante who tried it from a far distance and hit the crossbar of the goal kept by Vicente Guaita.
A solid and dreamer Eibar
The Basque team is being one of this season’s revelations and is showing that they aren’t scared of heights. After this victory they are still in European spots and up to now only Atletico de Madrid and FC Barcelona know what it’s like to beat Eibar.
