Getafe CF 3 – 1 Rayo Vallecano (3-3 agg)

Getafe were close to completing a remarkable turn-around in their last-32 tie, when they overhauled the 2-0 first leg defeat they suffered in Vallecas to lead 3-0 at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Pedro León opened the scoring and Santiago Vergini doubled Getafe's lead with a stunning backheel. Fran Escribá’s team led 3-0 at halftime after Álvaro Vázquez notched the third. Rayo coach Paco Jemez turned to Manucho from the bench after the re-start, and the Angolan set up Lass Bangoura to strike the away goal that put the visitors into the next round.

SD Eibar 4 – 0 SD Ponferradina (4-3 agg)

Where Getafe failed, SD Eibar succeeded. The Basques were trailing 3-0 from the first leg against the Liga Adelante side, but responded to the challenge in front of their own fans. "Los Armeros" benefitted from a red card for Ponferradina's Berrocal after 22 minutes and Borja Bastón, Sergi Enrich, Simone Verdi and Mikel Arruabarrena scored, the latter from the penalty spot,  to put them in the last 16.

Athletic Club  6 – 0 RB Linense (8-0 agg)

There were no surprises at San Mames as Athletic Club crushed the Andalusians on home turf. Last year's runners up netted through Oscar De Marcos after only nine minutes, but it was only in the second half that the floodgates opened with Javier Eraso, Xabier Etxeita, Kike Sola, Raúl García and Mikel Rico getting on the scoresheet.

Valencia CF 2 – 0 Barakaldo (5-1 agg)

Gary Neville earned his first win as the new coach of Valencia. The hosts extended their lead in the tie after only eight minutes when Santi Mina struck. Neville had given Alvaro Negredo a rare start and he was rewarded with a goal from the Spain striker after he played a marvellous one-two with Andre Gomes.

Málaga CF 0 - 1 CD Mirandés (1-3 agg)

Liga Adelante side Mirandes dumped Malaga out of the Cup with Lago Junior scoring the second leg's only goal at the Rosaldea after 74 minutes. Carlos Terraza's team made the most of the nerves among the home side's players, who are struggling to score goals this season.

Real Sociedad 1 – 1 UD Las Palmas (2-3 agg)

Las Palmas's Liga BBVA travails were put to one side as they held on to put Real Sociedad out of the Cup. The Islanders took the lead with a header from William José before the break. Sergio Canales levelled the scores from outside the area in the second half but the side from San Sebastian were unable to force extra time.
