Valencia CF 1-1 UD Las Palmas
Valencia came out with the intention of brining joy for their supporters at last, but they were failing to create danger on the rivals’ goal. Furthermore, luck fell on the away side when Momo’s cross hit Zahibo’s back, with the ball ending at the back of the net without Ryan having a chance of saving it. Paco Alcacer, the captain against UD Las Palmas, received the ball from Parejo just outside the box and aimed his shot really close to the post, far away from Raul’s hands. Negredo could have earnt Valencia the victory in the last few moments, but he was unable to strike the ball. One all and everything is left to be decided in Gran Canaria.
Sevilla CF 2-0 CD Mirandes
One goal in the 20th minute and another during stoppage time gave Sevilla the victory against Mirandes, who had in Raul Fernandez one of their best men. It was an outstanding night for the away keeper, who kept the hopes up for his time until the last minute, when Vitolo extended the lead. The first goal came in a strategy play by the Andalusians from a free kick, which ended up in N’Zonzi’s boots. It looked like it would be the only goal of the game, until Vitolo scored during stoppage time. Unai Emery’s men have a comfortable lead for the second leg in Anduva on Thursday 28th of January.
