UD Almería started their Sunday with a training session at 8 am (local time), as is becoming the norm on their LFP World Challenge Tour of Thailand. The Andalusian side took part in a physical training session on another day of intense heat in Phuket FC’s stadium.
After the morning session, the team returned to their hotel and enjoyed a photo session at the facilities with the director of the Kata Beach Resort & Spa Hotel. The players, together with their coach, Francisco Rodríguez, were the focus of great media attention from the press that have followed the team since they arrived in Thailand.
At 18:00, UD Almería returned to the stadium for a second training session. On loan Club Atlético de Madrid player Thomas Teye spoke about his first days as a member of Francisco’s team. "I’m improving with the group every day. I have to adapt my game to the team and train hard", said the Ghanaian player.
In addition, Thomas also said he was very grateful for the welcome the team has received in Thailand, particularly the Thai football star: "Teerasil is a good player. I think through this experience, we know him better and we can help him get to know Spanish football".
Tomorrow, UD Almería will carry out a strength session on the beach that will help them prepare for the match on 6 August at 14:00 CET, which will bring their Asian tour to a close. The match can be followed live on La Liga TV, free of charge, anywhere in the world.
