At home in the Anoeta stadium on La Liga matchday 2, Real Sociedad gained their first three points of the season, coming back from 0-2 down to beat Real Madrid 4-2.
After a dream start, it soon turned into a tricky assignment for Carlo Ancelloti's side. The game began with early goals - barely five minutes were on the clock by the time Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale had scored. And it was in a space of five minutes that the home side hit back, their goals coming from Iñigo Martínez and David Zurutuza just before half time.
The second half got under way with a chance for Agirretxe, a further warning to the Whites. Madrid's midfield trio of Kroos, Modric and Isco worked to take control of the game, but Zurutuza soon got his second, turning home a cross from Xabi Prieto to make it 3-2. The game seemed over, before Carlos Vela put the icing on the cake with a fourth goal for Sociedad, whose courage and hard work won them all three points.
