SÁB 21.03.2015
RCD Mallorca – UE Llagostera (4pm, Iberostar Estadio)
Matchday 30 of the Liga Adelante kicks off with this clash between the Balearic and Catalan sides. Both teams are level on points and sit 13th and 14th in the league respectively. Miquel Soler's players have picked up six of the last nine points on offer and will be looking to impress their fans at home. Meanwhile, Lluís Carrillo’s will be aiming to continue their run of positive results going on their trip to the Balearics, as the Catalans have been undefeated for the last six matchdays.
Miquel Soler expects an open-ended game in which anything could happen: "in a competition as long as this anything is possible. Llagostera have been racking up a lot of points lately, they are doing very well. My only focus is on recovering our good form".
AD Alcorcón – FC Barcelona B (6pm, Estadio Santo Domingo)
Barcelona B travel to Santo Domingo to test out the might of Alcorcón. 21st in the division, the Catalan giants' reserve side urgently need to continue picking up results, following last week’s draw, in order to escape from the relegation places. The Madrid team, meanwhile, will be hoping to put an end to their current tendency of drawing games - three of their last five matches have finished all square – and come away with all three points from this fixture.
José Bordalás, the Potters' coach, will be looking for a victory over "a very tricky opponent to win against. They're an extremely dogged team and have very good players. We are really up for this game because it has been a while since we last won at home and we need a victory to give our supports something to cheer about again".
Real Betis – CD Leganés (6:15pm, Estadio Benito Villamarín)
The division's top side will fight it out with the Madrid outfit in Seville for three extremely valuable points for both teams. Betis have not been beaten in 2015, a record they will be looking to hold onto, as Real Sporting are breathing down their neck just one point behind. Meanwhile, Leganés, looking to put an end to a three-matchday run of bad results, will be battling it out for three points that could stir them towards the promotion places.
The verdiblanco coach, Pepe Mel, will be without the injured Foued Kadir, Álex Martínez and Cristiano Piccini, as well as Francisco Varela, who is suspended. His counterpart, Asier Garitano, will have to travel without striker Manuel Jesús Vázquez 'Chuli', who, as well as being suspended for an accumulation of bookings, cannot face the team he is on loan from because of a clause in his contract. Luis Ruiz will also miss this fixture due to injury.
Albacete B. – CD Mirandés (8pm, Estadio Carlos Belmonte)
Albacete, who are 17th in the league, have enjoyed good results in their last five matchday fixtures and this weekend will be up against a 12th placed Mirandés team that come into this game on the back of beating SD Ponferradina. Both teams are in the lower half of the division and will be looking to pick up points in order not to fall behind in the championship.
Carlos Terrazas, the boss of the Miranda del Ebro outfit, will be hoping to "keep the winning streak started last Sunday alive". According to the Castile-La Mancha team’s manager, Luis César, his team are "in very good shape and shouldn't become careless. We need to win at home as it would set us up nicely in the table".
CD Numancia – UD Las Palmas (8pm, Nuevo Estadio de Los Pajaritos)
Kicking off simultaneously is the clash between tenth and fourth in the league. The Canary Islanders have been tireless in their mission to gain promotion to the Liga BBVA and will be looking to step closer towards that goal against Numancia, who will be hoping to put last weekend's result behind them. With both sides well positioned in the table, they will each need a win to keep their fans happy and not drop out of the race.
Paco Herrera "is trying to stay positive" and expects a tough game against a Numancia team "with a lot of quality and that applies pressure well all over the park. We will have to play quickly as that will be how the game is won".
