Real Betis beat At. Osasuna 3-0 on matchday 32 in the liga Adelante. Alfred N’Diaye, Rubén Castro and Jorge Molina scored the goals for Pepe Mel’s side but the real star of the match was Dani Ceballos.
The Navarran side dominated the early stages of the game despite playing away from home against the league leaders and never sat back. The verdiblancos were lightweight and imprecise in the majority of their passes and were unable to impose their usual play on a brave Osasuna, lead by quality players such as Sisinio González 'Sisi' and Juan Martínez 'Nino'. It was the latter who created the most dangerous openings for the rojillos, while ex-Osasuna man Cejudo had the best opportunity for Betis.
In the second half Pepe Mel threw on Dabi Ceballos and that was when the game changed completely. The midfielder gave his side the tranquility that Betis needed, allowing the hosts to play at their best. The hosts exploited Osasuna’s tired legs and took the lead in the 60th minute thanks to individual move by Ceballos, allowing N’Diaye to score. Seven minutes later Rubén Castro made it 2-0 and then in the 89th minute Jorge Molina but the cherry on the icing on the cake after a fine team move. The result sees Pepe Mel’s side return to winning ways and pick up three more points against an Osasuna side who should have made more of their good second half.
