Real Betis refuse to let go of the top spot in the Liga Adelante that gives automatic promotion to the Liga BBVA and they managed an important 4-0 against R. Zaragoza on matchday 34 of the league. Jorge Molina and Rubén Castro each got two goals.
Aware of what was at stake, the Andalusian and Aragonese sides provided a first half full of play, passing and runs. Faced with a well-armed Betis side, Zaragoza tried to counterattack, however the attacking strategy of Pepe Mel’s men was more effective than that of Ranko Popović’s side. A move from Dani Ceballos in the 27’ minute was the first lucky moment of the first half, and he provided an assist to Jorge Molina who opened the scoring.
The Aragonese side was more incisive in the second half, but just when danger was stirring, Rubén Castro cropped up to make it 2-0 and clip Zaragoza’s wings. The goal deficit disrupted the visitor’s plans and they were yet to see Jorge Molina make it three following a defensive error. Then, Rubén Castro scored again in final minutes to leave the Betis fans with one of their best games to remember.
