Barcelona and Valencia seeking their first win in Champions

Both, with a draw and a defeat in their first European matches, will fight for start adding in threes against Bayern 04 Leverkusen and O. Lyonnais, respectively.

UEFA Champions League is back and with it LaLiga teams into action. FC Barcelona and Valencia CF will be responsible for opening up participation in this second European round.

First of them, FC Barcelona, began in the competition reaping a draw against AS Roma, a difficult game, but in which could rescue a point. Now, with the notable absence of Lionel Messi, due to torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee, suffered against Las Palmas, and without Vermaelen nor Rafinha, will seek its first win in the Champions League. Bayer 04 Leverkusen will be the opponent in this clash, which comes after winning 4-1 to FC BATE Borisov.

Valencia, meanwhile, comes after its first victory in LaLiga against Granada CF (1-0) and will try to do the same against Olympique Lyonnais, this time in Europe. In the first Champions matchday fell against FC Zenit at Mestalla, so it's time to turn the tide in the old continent's top competition against a French team that drew against KAA Gent. André Gomes and Gayà will be out in a match in which reenters goalkeeper Ryan.

Camp Nou and the Stade de Gerland will be the venues where the ball will start rolling from 20:45 on Tuesday.
