MON 13.11.2023

This past weekend saw LALIGA FC Pro's first title of the season, the Supercup, as well as the unveiling of the season's major new features, which bring with them a prize pool of more than €350,000, the largest in its history

The Regular Season will be played over two weekends across February and March, during which the participating clubs will be divided into eight groups and will compete for access to the Cup and the Finals in 1v1 matches. The full list of pro-players representing each of this season's participating clubs will be announced shortly.

The top 24 clubs from the regular season, three from each group, will play for a place in the final of the LALIGA FC Pro Cup, which will be played in April in a best-of-two matches format. From there, the 16 clubs will have taken a step closer to glory by reaching the LALIGA FC Pro Finals held at the end of the month. Following on from previous years, as was the case in Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza and PortAventura World in Tarragona, these in-person, on-site events will visit exciting new locations once again bringing fan communities around Spain closer to the action.

The total prize pool of more than €350,000 has been split with €7,000 awarded to the Supercup, with €5,000 going to the winning team and €2,000 to the runner-up. During the Cup in April, €100,000 will be shared out, with €25,000 going to the winner; €10,000 to the runner-up; €7,500 to third and fourth place; with all teams up to 24th place receiving prize money. As if that wasn't enough, the Finals will have a total prize pool of €250,000, with €60,000 going to the club that wins the championship; €40,000 to the runner-up; €20,000 to the third and fourth place finishers; plus prize money for all teams up to 16th place.

LALIGA FC Pro already has its first title winner of the season

Atlético de Madrid represented by AndoniiPM, the reigning Cup holders, got the current season off to a good start by taking the title from defending Supercup holders Real Valladolid, represented by Neat. The win came in extra time after the match ended in a 5-5 draw. Real Betis, represented by Yagofawaz, and RC Celta, represented by Luisi, last season's respective champions and runners-up, fell just short and were knocked out in the semi-finals. With both showing signs of good play, we will see what happens next year when the regular season kicks off in February.
