Atlético Madrid 1-0 CF Reus Deportiu (3-1 agg)
Reus made life difficult for Atletico, though they never looked like upsetting the Liga BBVA side. The hosts created a string of chances throughout the first half but were unable to make the break-through. Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey volleyed home the game's only goal from outside the box after 53 minutes to secure Diego Simeone’s men a place in the next round.
RC Celta 1-0 UD Almeria (4-1 agg)
Celta, who had won 3-1 in the first leg, were comfortable winners at home against Almeria. Danish midfielder Daniel Wass scored from a freekick at the end of the first period to effectively end the tie as a contest.
Granada CF 1-0 CD Leganes (2-2 agg, Granada qualify on away goals rule)
The Andalusian side fought back from a 2-1 first leg deficit to go through to the next round. Liga Adelante side Leganes battled hard, but Moroccan forward Youssef El Arabi netted after 68 minutes to put Granada through on the away goals rule.
Villarreal CF 2-0 SD Huesca (4-3 agg)
Villarreal over-turned a 3-2 first leg deficit to knock out the Liga Adelante side. The team from Castellon were winning by half time with a goal from Manu Trigueros. In the second half, Roberto Soldado netted the decisive goal.
