Atleti and Real Madrid to face off in the Champions League

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will take their domestic rivalry to the European stage next month after the two sides were drawn together in the UEFA Champions League semi-final draw in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.

The first leg will take place on Tuesday 2nd May, with the return scheduled a week later on Wednesday 10th May.

The holders knocked out Bayern Munich with a thrilling 6-3 aggregate win over two legs while Atleti, finalists in last season’s competition, knocked out English champions Leicester City 2-1 on aggregate.
