Agreement reached on Montoya renewal

FC Barcelona and their player Martín Montoya have reached an agreement to extend his contract until the end of the 2017/18 season, as the Liga BBVA club itself announced through its official website. With this re-signing the Catalan side continues to tie down its promising young players having recently renewed centre back Marc Bartra’s contract as well. 

The 22-year-old right winger, who will sign his contract extension in the coming weeks, arrived in the azulgrana first team in 2012 having been a central figure for the reserves in the Liga Adelante. In the current campaign Montoya has made 12 Liga BBVA appearances for Barcelona, playing for a total of 1,032 minutes.
