Getafe CF got their second home victory in a row after beating Sevilla FC at the Coliseum
Alfonso Pérez in a match corresponding to matchday 22 of the Liga BBVA.

Both teams fought hard during the first 45 minutes and neither team was clearly in control. Sevilla could have scored just before the 15 minute mark when Vicente Iborra shot just wide of Jona's goal from inside of the area. However, it was Getafe who took the lead in the 29th minute when Álvaro Vázquez converted a penalty. With the scoreboard at 1-0, both teams unsuccessfully looked for a goal before half-time.

The second half started with the Madrid side looking for a second but Álvaro missed a clear chance when he was through on Sergio Rico and shot wide. A possible 2-0 lead gave way to 1-1 when the Polish player Grzegorz Krychowiak hit a powerful shot in the 66th minute that went in off Jona's left post. Despite the blow of the equaliser, Getafe did not give in and five minutes from the end Pedro León sealed the game despite good play from Sergio Rico.
