CD Numancia – D. Alavés (16:00 CET, Nuevo Estadio de Los Pajaritos)
Matchday 36 in the Liga Adelante begins with a match between these two teams that will be looking for a win to take them closer to their respective objectives. The hosts currently occupy 11th place and a win will help them clinch survival, while the Basque outfit, currently ninth, will be looking for three points that will keep them in the fight for a place in the play-offs.
Juan Antonio Anquela, the Numancia coach, will be without Natalio Lorenzo through suspension and Antonio Tomás and Adrián Ripa, who are injured. The only player that his counterpart Alberto López will be missing is striker Vélez, who is injured.
AD Alcorcón – R. Racing C. (16:00 CET, Estadio Santo Domingo)
At the same time as Numancia-Alavés, the Madrid side host the Santander outfit. Just like Numancia, Alcorcón are looking for a victory that would take them closer to survival in the Liga Adelante for another season. However, Racing are in a far more urgent position, as they are 20th and need the three points so they can lift themselves out of the drop zone.
Alcorcón coach José Bordalás knows that this is "an important match" because they "need to pick up points as soon as possible to guarantee our survival". Javier Pinillos meanwhile travels to Madrid with a different objective, and he declared that he wants his side to "make the fact that we are playing for our lives obvious from the first minute".
Real Betis – UE Llagostera (18:15 CET, Estadio Benito Villamarín)
The verdiblancos will look to take a definitive step in their path towards the Liga BBVA. Top of the league and with a six-point gap over second place, the Seville side will be looking for three more valuable points in their bid for promotion. They are up against a Llagostera side who have not lost any of their last 12 matches, and the Catalans will travel south aiming to keep fighting for a promotion spot.
The Betis coach Pepe Mel warns that this will be a difficult game against a team that "have been doing very well recently" but also said his own side "could not be in better shape" and know what they have to do. However, he insisted: "We still haven’t achieved anything mathematically".
Girona FC – At Osasuna (18:30 CET, Estadio Municipal de Montilivi)
The Navarrans find themselves on the edge of the red zone and after beating Albacete B. last week in Pamplona, they head to Catalonia with the objective of repeating that feat so they can move up the table. However, they will be up against a Girona side who are second in the table, and as well as wanting to give their home fans something to cheer about, they will be looking to boost their bid for automatic promotion.
JoséManuel Mateo, coach of the Navarran outfit, believes Girona "have tremendous confidence in their play, and play with a lot of intensity and pace", something which he believes should be "a source of motivation" for his side. The coach also said his side "are playing well away from home" and said they would go all out for victory.
UD Las Palmas – CE Sabadell (20:00 CET, Estadio de Gran Canaria)
The Catalans find themselves level on points with 19th place and standing on the red line between relegation and survival. A victory would allow them to pick up points and strengthen their bid for survival. But their opponents will not make things easy for them, because they are just five points from the automatic promotion positions, and will not want to let this opportunity slip away.
Paco Herrera has made it clear that his side "need to win all our games at home and two away if we want automatic promotion", and said that his side should "begin by beating Sabadell". Juan Carlos Mandiábelieves his team "will be brave and bold" against "another side that needs to win, but not as badly as us".
