A new homage to Jarque

On Monday the 21st of October RCD Espanyol will officially adopt the name of former club captain and defender, Dani Jarque, for the club’s training facility, currently known as the Sant Adrià del Besòs.

The ceremony will be full of symbolism representing the values held by the deceased player. As such, a replica model of the statue honouring him outside of the Estadio Cornellà – El Prat will be erected outside the training ground.

As well as that, the captains of the men’s and women’s first teams will hand out armbands, with the number 21 embroidered onto them, to all the Catalan club’s under age team captains in a gesture designed to instil the commitment and the enthusiasm characterised by the defender.
