Reporting protocol

1. Receiving information

Reports of violent or racist incidents can reach LALIGA through the following channels:

  • Internal sources

  • Match directors

  • Press

  • Social media

  • Communication channels

2. Incident analysis

Through our Mediacoach match analysis tool, the incident is identified, analyzed, and verified. Incidents are categorized as follows:

  • Violent, racist and intolerant chants.

  • Violent, racist and intolerant incidents.

Initial report preparation

The Security, Integrity, and Emergency Department (DSIE), in collaboration with the Competitions team, prepares a report based on the type of incident.

3. Complaint report preparation

The complaint report is sent to the following entities:

  • State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports.

  • Competitions Committee

4. Report escalation

If necessary, the report is also forwarded to the legal department for management with:

  • Hate Crimes Prosecuto’s office

  • Court of First Instance

  • Police Authorities
