This Christmas, LALIGA is collaborating with soup kitchens all over Spain once again

For the sixth consecutive year, LALIGA and its Clubs are teaming up with those who need it most, joining Spanish City Councils once again this Christmas to assist vulnerable families through more than 100 soup kitchens in 40 different Spanish cities.

Thanks to the partnership with local soup kitchens, LALIGA will offer over 23,000 meals, specifically special menus on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and the Epiphany. The initiative aims to provide improved nutrition to people in unfavourable circumstances during these particularly significant times.

After five seasons, this solidarity campaign from LALIGA and its Clubs has become a Christmas tradition in support of those who need it most. As in previous years, LALIGA is also donating winter items, namely 28,000 scarves and hats, to these soup kitchens.

“Once again, LALIGA and its Clubs are committed to helping the most disadvantaged during this special time of year, providing them with warm clothing and a Christmas-worthy meal”, explained Javier Tebas, President of LALIGA.

As such, LALIGA puts the power of our fútbol at the service of society through the values that unite us all, helping more people enjoy Christmas and underscoring its responsibility as a social agent.
