Diego Pablo Simeone, EA SPORTS LALIGA Best Coach in December

Diego Pablo Simeone has been named Best EA SPORTS LALIGA Coach in December, an award presented by LALIGA together with Microsoft. Atlético de Madrid have had a sensational month of December, with the icing on the cake last Saturday in Montjuïc after beating FC Barcelona 2-1 to take the lead in the league standings.

The red and white team have not lost a game since 27 October. Since that 1-0 win over Real Betis at the Benito Villamarín, the team coached by Diego Pablo Simeone has won all its matches (7 out of 7): Las Palmas (2-0), Mallorca (0-1), Deportivo Alavés (2-1), Real Valladolid (0-5), Sevilla (4-3), Getafe (1-0) and FC Barcelona (1-2). It was this last victory that put Atlético de Madrid in first place in the LALIGA EA SPORTS standings, with another comeback in the final minutes thanks to Alexander Sörloth's goal.

Diego Pablo Simeone wins his first award of the season and ends the year 2024 in the best possible way, beating Diego Martínez (UD Las Palmas) and Ernesto Valverde (Athletic Club) in the final vote for Best Coach of the month of December in LALIGA EA SPORTS.
