TW Events appointed as an agency to attract foreign fans to LALIGA

Through its expertise in the creation of travel packages, together with its broad portfolio of clients and background in the commercialisation of hospitality experiences, LALIGA will be able to bring its product closer to fans from around the world.

Last season, LALIGA launched a project to bring live competition closer to its foreign fans through various agencies. Given the positive reception this initiative has had among professionals and individuals in the sector, LALIGA has expanded its commitment to fans outside Spain through an agreement with TW Events, an agency specialised in promoting and selling tickets for global events, to export the LALIGA brand to the world.

This partnership will open new international markets to LALIGA and its clubs, particularly in regions like Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. The company's previous experience in motorsports and football has allowed them to build a strong reputation in these regions, with these markets enjoying the strongest presence among their clients.

As part of the agreement, TW Events will purchase tickets and hospitality seats in advance from clubs for various LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION matches during the 2024/25 season. The agency will then tailor these packages to its clientele, organising travel, cultural visits, and other activities around the matches to attract foreign customers and promote tourism through football. While the agreement has already been formalised, LALIGA and TW Events have left the door open for other Spanish professional football clubs to join this initiative retroactively.

Milos Nenadovic, Head of the Business Infrastructure Vertical at the LALIGA Clubs Office, said of the agreement: “We’re excited to work with TW Events, as their presence in Asia, the Middle East, and US markets will bring many fans closer to our league. Their expertise in creating football-focused travel packages will also help our clubs make their matches more attractive to overseas customers. TW Events fits perfectly with our growing international ticketing project which has already shown great results since its launch last year”.

The feedback from the first few days is, so far, overwhelmingly positive among our clients and we hope to continue working hand in hand with LALIGA for many years to come and look forward to a long and fruitful business relationship".

This new agreement with TW Events further solidifies the successful step taken last season, thanks to the project launched by the LALIGA Clubs Office, which increased the number of foreign spectators at stadiums and provided fans from over 40 countries with the opportunity to watch LALIGA matches live.
