Global consultancy group Brand Finance has once again published its annual report, in which it calculates the value and Brand Strength Index of leading companies and organisations, awarding a maximum score of 100.
For the second consecutive year, LALIGA is once again the best Spanish brand in the Entertainment category and, furthermore, it stays in the Top 10 of the 100 strongest brands in Spain, ranking ninth this year.
Pilar Alonso Ulloa, Managing Director de Brand Finance, says “LALIGA is Spain’s strongest and most valuable entertainment brand. In 2023, LALIGA launched a new visual identity, new logo and new tagline ‘THE POWER OF OUR FÚTBOL’ ushering a new era that remains committed to inspiring and having a positive impact on society, and connecting with young people”.
Angel Fernandez, Director of Global Brand and Strategy at LALIGA says, “it's very important for us to consolidate our position in the Brand Finance rankings, even more so this season. During this past year, when we changed the visual identity of LALIGA, it was more complicated to maintain our position, but once again we were able to appear in the Top 10 for Brand Strength. With the POWER OF OUR FÚTBOL, it makes us proud to be part of a competition that is an inspiration to everyone and helps us to grow as people and as a society”.
Since 2019, when LALIGA as a sports brand was included in the Brand Finance rankings for the first time, it continues to be part of the rankings carried out by the organisation and is also regarded as an entertainment brand, thus transcending beyond sport.
In this year's rankings, LALIGA is once again the only entertainment brand to make it into the Brand Finance Top 100. Likewise, LALIGA remains in the Top 10 for Brand Strength, being the only company from the entertainment sector to be ranked among major brands such as Mahou, Estrella Damm, Correos and CaixaBank.
