Collaboration is the basis for harmony, and harmony is a breeding ground for understanding. And an understanding of each other's movements is something essential for LaLiga's 'dance partners'. One assists, the other scores. One scores because the other assists. Together they create chances and finish them off.

Looking at the statistics, the most notable pairings in this regard are Luis Suarez and Neymar Jr. (FC Barcelona) and Roberto Soldado and Cedric Bakambu (Villarreal CF). The former are adding the South American rhyme to Barcelona's rhythm. The Uruguayan has played in his Brazilian teammate to score on five occasions, and vice versa. Neymar has reciprocated by providing five assists for Suarez to finish off.

Another pair who are on the same wavelength are Soldado and Bakambu. The Valencian striker is taking care of providing the assists, having served up his Congolese teammate to fire the ball home on five occasions. Both of them occupy the front line, but the understanding which they have conjured up is making them grow as players, leading to an improvement of Villarreal as a whole.

A number of players have managed to provide the same teammate with three assists, with their interplay acting as a boost to their teams' goalscoring figures. Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are forging a lethal partnership at Real Madrid. Koke and Griezmann are Atletico's twosome, whilst two of the Liga BBVA's great revelations, Sergi Enrich and Borja Baston, are setting the tempo for SD Eibar.

Other surprise partners in crime include Jony and Sanabria (R. Sporting) and Bebe and Javi Guerra. One of the most notorious breakout players of the present campaign is Venezuela's Adalberto Peñaranda, finding his perfect partner in Rochina, who has served him up for three of the four goals which he has accrued in the top flight.
